The cross will make fools of us all. Promise. It will either sear our hearts: unsettle them for all time making us crazy in our passion for Him, or it will cause no stir at all. Our response to the cross... the way we react to it... says so much about what kind of fool we are willing to be. We are either a fool as we fall headlong and accept the vastness of His great love for us or we become fools destined for death if we don't. The cross will either curse us or cure us: curse us to a life without Him and the fullness He brings should we fail to respond to His invitation of grace or cure us from ourselves and the emptiness we declare is satisifying should we be willing to lay down our lives in a divine exchange - the mess for the meaningful.
To be a fool, the kind who is working on abandoning my life wrecklessly for His purposes, is what I'm after.
What kind of fool are you willing to be?
